Three staff of an online retail outlet, Konga, on Friday showed up before a Yaba Chief Magistrates' Court in Lagos, for professedly taking 500 units of Infinix Hot2 cell telephone esteemed at N9.6 million.
The men, Ibrahim Maradesa; 31, Oluwatoyin Salau; 41, and Jerry Idenudia; 27, who all dwell at Ogba range of Lagos, are standing trial on a two-check charge of intrigue and taking.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Roman Unuigbe, told the court that the charged conferred the offense on Nov. 4, at around 6:00p.m., at No. 36, Cocoa Road, Ogba, Lagos.
Unuigbe affirmed that the blamed stole 500 units for Infinix Hot2 16 GB12 esteemed at N9.6 million, property of Konga online retailer.
As per him, the blamed, who are drivers with the organization, occupied a truck stacked with the things to an undisclosed destination.
The prosecutor said the offenses contradicted Sections 409 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The blamed argued not liable to the charge.
Segment 285 gives three years detainment to taking.
Decision on the safeguard application, the Magistrate, Mr P.A. Ojo, conceded the blamed to safeguard for N500, 000 each, with two sureties in like total.
He said the sureties must live in Lagos and must be productively utilized.
The judge dismissed the case till Feb. 17, 2016 for substantive trial.
