Just days after getting married to President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Fatima, Malam Gimba Ya'u Kumo is under the spotlight of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to Sahara Reporters, Malam Kumo who was the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, is being investigated over a N3 billion fraud while he was still in office.

According to Sahara Reporters, President Buhari's New Son-In-Law, Yau Kumo, who just married his daughter last week Friday is under investigation for 3billion naira fraud he allegedly committed as MD of FMBN.

Malam Kumo, according to the reports, had been under intense investigation before his marriage to Fatima, the President's second daughter on October 28, 2016, and now, even as the Buhari's son-in-law, the anti-graft agency is making sure he faces the full wrath of the law.

Insiders have also noted that the President has vowed not to wade into the case and has told his in-law to make himself available for investigations and to clear his name without involving the First Family.

Sahara Reporters also posted the news on its Twitter handle:

"FLASH: @NGRPresident newly minted son-in-law, Yau Kumo is under investigation at the @officialefcc over N3b fraud he committed as MD of FMBN."
