Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at the weekend unfolded the tourism potentials in the ancient town, declaring that the Biblical Noah’s Ark and the Tower of Babel are in Ife Kingdom.
The paramount ruler also maintained that the ancient town is replete with many mystical signs, primeval artifacts and ancient relics capable of attracting tourists all over the world.
Oba Ogunwusi stated these at his palace in Ile-Ife when he officially declared and proclaimed the historic town as a tourism zone for the entire world on Saturday at an impressive ceremony, which drew government officials and lovers of culture and tourism from across the country.
The monarch asserted that the historical assets by Ile-Ife was enough to empower Nigeria and Africa at large, urged tourist lovers across the world to thrill themselves with old artifacts available in Ife.
Oba Ogunwusi added, “The Ark of Noah, which the entire world had been searching for is in Ile-Ife. The Ark of Noah has been in existence and it is in Ife land.”
The Ooni said both anthropology and archaeological findings attest to the origin of mankind from Africa, saying there is more than enough evidence to show that the actual origin of creation is Ile Ife.
“Yorubas are about the half of the population of Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Haiti, Brazil and many other nations.”
