The Ogun State Government has announced the payment of December, 2015 salaries and a 10 per cent bonus to all civil servants in the state.
Speaking at a press briefing held at his Oke-Mosan office yesterday, Taiwo Adeoluwa, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), said the payment of the December salary ahead of the Christmas Day was a measure to ensure that civil servants in Ogun State celebrate the Yuletide without financial hassles.
At the press conference jointly addressed by the SSG as well as Mr. Wale Osinowo, the Commissioner for Finance and Dayo Adeneye, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, it was also announced that the Ogun State Government equally paid 10 per cent bonus to all civil servants in the state.
The payment of the December, 2015 salary and 10 per cent bonus was effected not only for civil servants in the employ of the state government, but also local government employees and those in the judicial service commission as well as other agencies of government.
It will be recalled that the state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, had earlier promised to ensure the payment of workers salary in Ogun State before Christmas Day.
