The Federal Government has declined to discharge Biafra instigator, Nnamdi Kanu, picking rather to slap him with new charges including treasonable crime which conveys capital punishment.
The new charge-sheet was marked by the Director, Public Prosecution (DPP), Mohammed Saidu Diri, in the interest of the Attorney General.
It peruses to some extent:
"That you, Nnamdi Kanu and other obscure per-children, now everywhere, at Lon-wear, United Kingdom, somewhere around 2014 and September, 2015 with goal to impose war against Nigeria keeping in mind the end goal to compel the President to change his measures of being the President of the Federation, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federation as characterized in Section 3 of the Consti-tution of the Federal Re-open of Nigeria 1999 (as revised) by doing a demonstration to mind: Broadcast on Radio Biafra your arrangements for the states in the South-East geo-political zone, South-South geo-political zone, the Igala Community of Kogi State and the Idoma/Igede Community of Benue State to withdraw from the Federal Republic of Nigeria and structure them-selves into a Republic of Biafra, and along these lines carried out an offense rebuff capable under Section 41(C) of the Criminal Code Act, CAP C38 Laws of the Fed-eration of Nigeria 2004."
