Fruit cake is a dessert that concludes a main meal, and of course, can be part of your Christmas meal courses.
Fruit cakes are obviously rich in mixed fruits and much enjoyed when matured.Adding nuts to it makes more nutritious and mind blowing. It is highly recommended for wedding, deserts and could be stored cool for over54 a year.
Ingredients:
. 500g of flour
. 500g of butter
. Sugar 300g
. Eggs about 500g( about 6 eggs)
. 2teaspoonful of baking powder
. ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
. Mixed fruits as desired
. 2 teaspoon of browning
. 2 teaspoon of vanilla
Direction:
. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy
. Sieve flour and add other dry ingredients.
. Beat eggs till light and fluffy.
. Pour egg into butter and sugar mixture alternating with the dry ingredients.
. Pour in the fruits, browning, alcohol and flavour
. Cream the baking pan and pour in the mixture, bake in a preheated oven between 30 – 35minute. Note not to open the oven at the early stage. If you want to confirm if it is done ensure that it has risen and solidified. Then deep in a knife at the centre and bring it out . If it appears smooth without attachment of crumbs. It is baked and ready to eat when it cools.
