Senator David Mark returned to his country home, Otukpo, Benue State on Thursday, December 10, the first since his election was nullified by the Court of Appeal in Makurdi. He was accompanied by Members of the National Assembly from Benue and other states.
Addressing the mammoth crowd who trooped out enmasse to welcome him, the former Senate President urged them to remain calm in spite of the 'provocative' judgement of the Appeal Court.
"Your turn out today shows that the election shall be won and lost by Zone C people. Though the Court of Appeal has made its pronouncement; but I'm happy the Judges shall not take part in the voting process.
This is not a PDP election; it's an Idoma election" Mark said. "This is indeed a trying period for us as a people! I encourage you to be strong and take it in your own hands; if not, we shall be forgotten in the map of Nigeria", he added.
