Gusto Guardiola will one week from now declare he is to leave Bayern Munich toward the end of the season, as per reports in the German media.
The previous Barcelona mentor said not long ago he would make a declaration on his future before Christmas, yet German daily paper Bild claims he has 'officially dealt with his future'.
A month ago Barcelona every day Sport reported he had officially given his pledge to previous Barca associates Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, Manchester City's CEO and executive of football separately, that he would go along with them at the Etihad next season.
"Everything focuses to his leaving," said Bild, including that the 44-year-old knew about the risks of 'out-staying his welcome in the event that he stayed at Bayern'.
"He is somebody who appreciates a test and that is the reason he joined Bayern Munich in 2013."
Guardiola has won two titles and a German Cup since assuming control at the Allianz Arena in the late spring of 2013 after a year out of football. Preceding that he won the Champions League twice, three La Liga titles and two Copa del Reys in a four-year spell at the Nou Camp.
Could this be the man to supplant Mourinho at Chelsea or would he say he is making a beeline for Manchester?
