The All Progressives Congress, APC, has reassured Nigerians that it intends to deliver on the promises it made during the electioneering campaigns, leading to its victory in the 2015 election.
The ruling party has of late come under intense pressure over a perceived lack of commitment to the pledges made during the last presidential election campaign.
Defending his party, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Timi Frank said:
“Nigerians can testify that the APC administration under President Muhammadu Buhari has started delivering on its promises. In less than six months, the administration has demonstrated its seriousness in bringing about positive change.”
On Wednesday, at the Senate, APC lawmakers shut down the attempts by their Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterparts to raise a motion for unemployed youths to be paid N5,000 monthly immediately.
In his reaction, PDP spokesperson Olisa Metuh said APC had scammed Nigerians with false promises.
But the APC man said, “I can tell you clearly that the APC under our President will deliver on all of the promises made during the campaigns. The PDP which is yet to get over its electoral defeat will be put to shame at the end of the day.”
