A 48-year-old driver, Okechukwu Okoli, who professedly attacked his neighbors girl by touching her bosom, was yesterday remanded in jail care by an Ikeja Magistrates' Court.
Okoli, who dwells at 100, Old Abeokuta Road, Agege region of Lagos was summoned on an one - check charge of obscene treatment of a youngster.
While affirming in court, the prosecutor, Sgt. Jimah Iseghede said the offense was submitted on August 24, in the denounced individual's condo.
The prosecutor told the court that Okoli under the misrepresentation of sending the casualty, a 11-year-old young lady on an errand, called her to his room and began stripping her, while stroking her bosom simultaneously.
"It was one of the neigbours who located the blamed, that raised an alert," he said.
As per Iseghede, the offense negated Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Okoli, be that as it may, argued not liable to the charge proffered against him.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias declined to allow the denounced safeguard and requested that he be remanded in jail guardianship.
Elias deferred the case to September 30, for decision on safeguard application.
