Lagos is still a long way from being called a megacity as it has emerged as one of the least livable cities in the world.
This is according to The Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Liveability Ranking which rated 140 cities in the areas of stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
In the area of stability, Lagos recorded a poor 25% while it recorded 33.3% in the area of education. As far as environment went however, it recorded 53.5%, and an overall total of 39.7%.
Other not-so livable cities according to the survey are Pakistan, Tripoli, PNG, Bangladesh and Damascus which emerged the least livable city in the world.
Travel hotspots like Paris, Barcelona, Miami, London and New York were 29th, 31st, 37th, 53rd and 55th positions respectively while Melbourne emerged as the most livable city in the world.
