The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has said despite the attacks targeted at their members and the activities of some splinter groups, there is still no going back on its struggle for an independent Biafran State.
MASSOB Zonal Director of Information, Anambra North, Charles Igbokwe, in a statement yesterday in Onitsha, reminded saboteurs that no country, ethnic nationality, state, family or individual which sabotaged Biafra from 1967 to date that had not drawn divine wrath and punishment to their land.
“Let us not be enemy of freedom. Biafra has come to stay. Some people have started modern day sabotage by forming different groups, some have not lasted up to one year but yet they claim that they will give us Biafra today or now. All these groups are false icons to discourage and make mockery of family. Biafra. This is the worst sabotage,” it stated.
Igbokwe stated that contrary to misconceptions about the MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, he was a man with three secrets which included his struggle to deliver Nigerians from bondage, to help politicians fulfill, exercise and achieve the supreme mandate of coordination and to obtain for the Biafrans, the full power to rule themselves.
He said the syndrome of ‘One Nigeria’ had tied the country from 1914 to 2014, noting that Nigeria was formerly three kingdoms, which according to him, were three countries but joined together unconditionally, which now haboured a country of dislike, hatred, malice and selfishness.
According to him, the leader of MASSOB, Uwazurike, was clamouring for the independence of the three kingdoms so that they could go their separate ways and exercise their respective leadership style to enhance economic growth and people empowerment.
