A 26-year-old man, Toba Afolasade, has been remanded in jail by an Akure Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Oke-Eda, the Ondo State capital, for professedly murdering one Adejoke Olalekan, a 16-year-old young lady.
The blamed individual, who was at the weekend brought before Magistrate Victoria Bob-Manuel is confronting a two-check charge of executing and unlawfully having fornication with of the casualty.
The police prosecutor, Supol Isah Atanegbe told the court that the charged individual conferred the offense at around 3:30pm at Idi-Araba camp street, Ijegun by means of Ile-oluji, Ondo State on June 26,2015.
As per indictment, the charged individual murdered Adejoke Olalekan by strangulating her to death while assaulting her.
The request of the denounced individual was not taken as no guidance remained for him.
The prosecutor implored the court for suspension of the case to empower him send the copied case record to the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for lawful exhortation.
He likewise asked the court to remand the denounced individual in Olokuta Prison pending the result of the counsel from DPP.
In her administering, Mrs Bob-Manuel requested the remand of the charged individual in jail and suspended the case till August 19,2015.
