A competitor of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2014 governorship decision in Plateau State, Jimmy Cheto, was on Thursday proclaimed needed by the Nigeria Police more than a failure check he issued for a N22million advance he got five years back.
The warrant for Mr. Cheto's capture was issued by the workplace of the Commissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The notification, which was promoted in the Thursday, June 11, 2015 release of Daily Trust, said the previous applicant issued a failure check to his lenders for a N22million advance got in August 25, 2010.
The police had likewise offered a good looking prize to any individual who finds Mr. Cheto and helps his capture.
Responding to the warrant for his capture, Mr. Cheto denied he was sidestepping the police.
Talking with writers on Friday at his home in Jos, the Plateau State capital, he said no police faculty had defied him over the issue.
"I am a well behaved resident", he said. "In what manner would I be able to oppose police capture? No police faculty has requested my consideration on this matter.
