A Kano High Court sitting in Gezawa on Tuedsay set free Wasila, 14, blamed for slaughtering her spouse and three others in April a year ago.
In a milestone judgment, Equity Mohammed Yahaya decided that the court had no choice than to consent to the application that started from the Workplace of the Lawyer General and Chief for Equity that tried to end the case.
"I have no option than to profess as per the law that the application for nolle proseque is therefore conceded," the managing judge said.
Thus, Equity Yahaya announced that Wasila was released.
The decision tossed the court into wild celebration, as crowds of human rights activists were available.
Prior, the indictment's Justice, Lamido Abba Soron Dinki, tendered an application dated May 20th that was marked by the Lawyer General and Official for Equity, encouraging the court to end with the prominent homicide case which has pulled in worldwide consideration.
Dinki said: "In the nolle proseque is a designation of force by the Official for Equity to me and I thus present the notice and the instrument to the court."
The Kano State Government had asked that the case be released in light of the fact that she was a minor who had been coercively hitched. The young lady is to be liberated from confinement taking after the decision.
