Barely a week after his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Lagos State Military Administrator, Brig Gen Buba Marwa, defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement released by his media aide and made available to Daily Independent onThursday, June 12, 2015, Marwa said his defection to APC followed a decision arrived at a meeting of his supporters.
It said: “The decision to return to APC was jointly reached at a well attended meeting between General Marwa and his supporters under the aegis of The Marwa Organisation, TMO.
“After listening to the views of members, the TMO resolved to return to the party (APC) which they join others to form when they were in defunct Congress for Progressives Change, CPC.”
Marwa called on all elected and appointed officials across the nation to back President Muhammadu Buhari administration and work for positive change in the country.
