Senate President, David Mark, has urged the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to ensure genuine reconciliation of all sections of the country after his inauguration on May 29, 2015.
Mark stated this on Friday at a thanksgiving Mass ahead of the end of the 7th Senate at St. Mulumba Catholic Chaplaincy, Apo in Abuja.
He said, “What the nation needs now is genuine reconciliation of all sections of the country and not otherwise.”
The senate president also urged Buhari to take genuine reconciliation as a priority to assuage the feelings of some aggrieved persons.
According to him, “What must be paramount is the service, welfare and security of Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, religious or political differences.”
