The Federal High Court in Jos on Tuesday sentenced one Apisu Abdullahi, 20, to 10 years imprisonment for defiling a two-year old girl.
Abdullahi was arrested for the crime on Feb. 23 at Angwan Pama in the Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau.
He pleaded guilty to the charge brought against him by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.
Presiding Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa convicted the accused as charged and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment without an option of fine.
