He made a joke out of it.
Basketmouth was the only comedian to grace the AMVCA stage. He seized his chance during one of the breaks from the live recording to shake the audience up a little bit with his jokes. At first, it all seemed like a stretch. Like he would literally tell a joke and dwell on it until all the juice is gone before remembering the others.
Almost like he was remembering his lines off a crammed work. The comedian put too much emphasis on either explaining the joke or just looking for more examples to his metaphors.
Then came the time when he said, ”I was told not to give any form of Boko Haram or terrorist jokes and I promised I wouldn’t.” But he did. Did they really think he wouldn’t?
Basketmouth was giving his final take when he cheekily added the tiny little bit: “You guys are the bomb!”
