Nigeria international striker Brown Ideye is on the brink of leaving West Brom for the Middle East, just a few months after moving to the Hawthorns in what was a record deal for the Baggies who now stand to lose more than £6m.
The 26-year-old arrived in England after Tony Pulis’ side forked out £10m to pay Dynamo Kiev for his services.
But Ideye appears to be heading to Qatar where Al Gharafa look likely to pay £3.77m.
A statement from the Premier League club reads: “West Brom agree to sell Brown Ideye to Qatari side Al Gharafa for £3.77m, subject to payment guarantees satisfying club.”
It had been reported earlier that West Brom wanted £6m for Ideye who has been a big flop and scored just a single Premier League goal since his arrival.
