The Ebonyi state House of Assembly has served an impeachment notice on Governor Martin Elechi over alleged acts of gross misconduct by the Governor.
The acting leader of the House, Hon. Francis Nwifruru, read the notice at the plenary on Friday morning.
Nwifruru accused Gov. Elechi of huge financial misappropriation, undermining of the integrity of the House, among other offences.
The motion for the impeachment notice to be served on the Governor was moved by Hon. Odefa Obasi Odefa and seconded by Hon. Valentine Okike.
