Rapper M.I has stated that his song 'Brother' featuring Nosa andMilli off his new album The Chairman isn't exclusively about his brother Jesse Jagz.
The Choc City act revealed this during an exclusive interview with Pulse. "I've lost so many people" said M.I as he explained that the song talks about friends he has lost along the way. "Brother talks about two types of people- the people who you see, that you love, and doing their own thing now. The other one is people you've lost along the way" he explained.
When The Chairman album was released, 'Brother' became one of the stand-out tracks because fans thought that M.I was addressing Jesse Jagz's exit from Chocolate City. M.I however clarified his approach on the song during the interview. "The verse is actually not directed at Jesse, even though I understood technically that the closer I made it seem it was Jesse I was talking to directly the more emotional it would be for people" said M.I.
